The Daylight Test That Takes Five Minutes
Close the door, switch off the garage lights and stand inside on a bright day. Any thin line of brightness along the floor, up each side or across the top marks a gap. Walk the whole perimeter slowly, then crouch at the corners, where bent retainers and shrunken stops hide best.
After dark, reverse it: have someone shine a flashlight from outside while you look from within. Slide a sheet of paper under the bottom edge too. If it moves without dragging, the seal is not touching the slab. Jot down what you find, since those notes make the phone conversation far shorter.
